The UCSB Community Labor Center seeks to build a sustainable and inclusive economy on the Central Coast.

The UCSB Community Labor Center was established in June of 2024 to serve working people on the Central Coast.

We pursue our mission through three primary avenues of work:

Strategic research that centers the needs of working people

Training and education to empower communities

Building the pipeline of students to labor movement

In collaboration with the Central Coast Labor Council, the UCSB Community Labor Center is offering students the opportunity to spend their summer gaining hands-on experience in the labor movement through the Labor Summer Internship!
